Alex Lovell is a lecturer in the Welsh Department in Swansea University. Alex completed a BA in Welsh as a second language speaker before working towards his PhD. The subject of his PhD research is how Welsh as a second language can be successfully presented in comparatively non-Welsh speaking areas of Wales. Alex will discuss his work with the National Corpus of Contemporary Welsh – a project which collects samples of Welsh as it is used in modern Wales.
The event will begin at 7:30 pm on the 12th of June at the Woodfield Arms, Bridge Street, Chepstow.
The Menter holds a monthly evening of entertainment with the Chepstow Society and usually meet in the Woodfield Arms, Bridge Street, Chepstow.
